Witmer Wood Products offers a new custom dovetail drawer to furniture manufacturers.
The Witmer Furniture Drawer is constructed with the drawer front dovetailed to the drawer body.
A lip extends 1/2â on all four sides of the drawer and can be further customized to meet customer specifications.
The benefits of this Furniture Drawer, is the cost saving to manufacturers in material and labor.
Eliminating the need to apply a drawer front to a drawer box can result in substantial savings.
Another cost saving option is using a more expensive wood species for the drawer face while the remaining three sides utilizes a different species. The photograph shows a drawer using a cherry face with birch sides.
Witmer Wood Products dovetail drawers are offered in nine solid wood species including aromatic cedar, birch, brown soft maple, cherry, mahogany, red oak, walnut, white hard maple, and white oak. Dovetail drawers are manufactured to any size specifications in 1/32â increments or metric and are shipped completely assembled and finished, or can be ordered knocked down. Witmer has been manufacturing dovetail drawers since 1992.
