NEW YORK, NY – Stanley-Bostitch announced today the introduction of two new professional-grade compressors – models CAP2000P-OF and CAP2040STOL – during its new product introduction at the Westin New York Hotel. Model CAP2000P-OF

The Stanley®-Bostitch® model CAP2000P-OF is a 6-gallon oil-free pancake compressor providing 2.8 cubic feet per minute (CFM) @ 90 pounds-per square inch (psi) with a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi. In essence, this unit delivers enough air flow to operate multiple finish nailers/staplers simultaneously. It can also drive a large framing nailer with power to spare. Its 2 horsepower (peak) motor draws only 12 amps to prevent 15 amp circuit breakers from flipping as the motor cuts in and out.

The CAP2000P-OF’s features makes it the ideal unit for trim carpenters installing molding, cabinetry, or window/door casings. For example, its recessed control panel protects the gauges against damage if the unit accidentally tips or rolls over. Weighing only 39 pounds, it features an ergonomically-designed in-line handle to offer a comfortable grip and easy maneuverability.

Other features of the CAP2000P-OF include four oversized rubber feet to minimize vibration, increase stability, and prevent the unit from creeping across the floor. Its durable ball-type drain valve proves more reliable over long periods of use due to the elimination of easily-worn parts such as o-rings.

As concerns over noise and jobsite communication continue to mount, Stanley-Bostitch responds with a dramatic noise reduction down to only 72 decibels, which is surprisingly comparable to standard household vacuum cleaners. Its integrated cord wrapping system conveniently secures the electrical cord and/or pneumatic hose around the base of the shroud for fast and easy transportability. Available in August, the CAP2000P- OF is expected to retail for approximately $179.

Model CAP2040ST-OL

The Stanley®-Bostitch® model CAP2040ST-OL is a four-gallon stack tank compressor providing 4 CFM at 90 psi and a maximum operating pressure of 135 psi. It offers enough air flow to operate two framing nailers or three roofing nailers simultaneously. Featuring a 3 horsepower (peak) induction motor, this unit draws only 13.8 amps (120 volts) to prevent circuit breakers from flipping as the motor cuts in and out.

The CAP2040ST-OL’s features make it the ideal unit for framing crews, roofing crews, or trim/flooring crews on large jobsites. For example, its roll bar handle protects the oil site glass and other gauges against damage if the unit accidentally tips or rolls over. Its oil-lubricated pump offers a cast iron cylinder for durable performance over extended periods of use. Weighing only 58 pounds, the CAP2040ST-OL’s compact design was engineered to be more maneuverable and convenient to carry.

Other features of the CAP2040ST-OL compressor include four oversized rubber feet to help minimize vibration, increase stability, and help prevent the unit from creeping across the floor. Its durable balltype drain valve proves more reliable over long periods of use due to the elimination of easily-worn parts such as o-rings. Moreover, an upgraded industrial-grade pressure switch/regulator makes for easy adjustments and increased durability versus previous models.

A few patented features make this compressor unique, such as its crankcase cover, which provides an integrated oil fill and drain funnel for added convenience. Also, its patented shroud and oversized pump head are designed to achieve optimum cooling efficiency to extend life and improve reliability. The unit offers an angled dipstick to avoid contact with hot surfaces while an all-metal air filter reduces noise for user safety and improved jobsite communication. Available in August, the CAP2040ST-OL is expected to retail for approximately $279.
