Merged Panel Saw Specialists Offer the Widest Range

Silchester, UNITED KINGDOM -- Vertical panel saw specialists Sagetech and Zapkut have merged under the Sagetech name, making their Zapkut and Koolkut saw families the widest single range available of economically priced vertical panel saw solutions.

Established in 2002, Sagetech focused on intermediate to heavy industrial users with its Koolkut family, while Zapkut, launched in 2006, concentrated on light to intermediate users and those requiring portable cutting solutions. Both companies' saws have proved popular with signmakers, cabinetmakers, timber and plastics traders and various other types of business.

Finding the right saw

Keith Bunker, Managing Director of the merged company, Sagetech Limited, explained the merger. "Different businesses and users have differing needs, in the area of sheet cutting as in other areas. A key challenge faced by anyone considering buying a vertical panel saw has always been identifying the right saw for the needs of the business."

With prices across the vertical panel saw market ranging from hundreds of pounds through to tens of thousands, and capabilities and quality just as variable, that seems a fair point.

Competitive, robust, feature-rich

Keith went on, "Both Sagetech and Zapkut have consistently focused on supplying wall saws which while very competitively priced, are robust, high quality and feature-rich. With the Zapkut and Koolkut saw families complementing one another, it made perfect sense to bring the two together in a single company."

Following the merger, Sagetech Limited offers a clear, cohesive range of saws from the entry-level Zapkut ZK (still the world's only genuinely portable vertical panel saw) through to the heavyweight Koolkut range, suitable for workloads up to medium-to-heavy industrial and capable of handling sheet sizes of up to 3.1m x 2.1m. Each family of saws is available in a range of sizes.

New website

Bringing the two saw families together in this way makes it easier for customers to quickly and accurately identify which machine is best for them: the new company website (www.sagetech.co.uk) provides an overview page to help visitors go straight to the detail on either the Zapkut or the Koolkut saw family, according to their circumstances. That detail then enables them to quickly decide on which model will suit them best.

The new website also provides background information, for example on the ways in which a vertical panel saw is generally a significantly better sheet cutting solution than guide rails or a table saw. There is an extensive press archive featuring many real-life customer usage stories. These are arranged by sector to help site visitors quickly go to stories relevant to their own field of activity.

Making it easy

"Quick and easy access to information has been key to the design of the new website," Keith commented. "Everyone's busy with little time to spare, so we wanted to make the new site as simple and straightforward as possible."

There is also a comprehensive international dealer directory, arranged by geography and sector specialism, again to help visitors quickly access the information they need. The site fleshes out the information on the saws with downloadable product brochures and product demonstration videos. "Don't just take our word for it: see it with your own eyes," said Keith.

The future is looking bright. As Sagetech takes its compellingly-priced wall saws into their second decade, the company has a growing army of delighted customers under its belt, and with the strongest range around of vertical panel saws specifically designed for small (and not so small) businesses, it looks set to go from strength to strength.
