JPMA Petitions for CPSC to Reconsider Aspects of Publicly Accessible Database
JPMA_Logo_145.jpeg

In our ongoing efforts to communicate JPMA's concerns with certain aspects of the CPSC's upcoming launch of the public database, the organization assisted the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) in drafting a petition letter, which was submitted yesterday evening to the Office of the Secretary and the Executive Director (Ken Hinson) of the CPSC.

Courtesy copies were sent to the lead staff in the offices of Commissioners Nord and Northup, the House Energy & Commerce Majority Staff, the Senate Commerce Minority Staff, and the chief of staff to Rep. Pompeo who sponsored the budget amendment in the House which eliminated funding for the database from the 2011 budget (proposed).
