WMCO organizing return to Toyota Cambridge Plant for Lean event

Following the plant tour, Lean experts will discuss how Toyota's Lean principles can be applied to wood products manufacturing. 

HANOVER, Ontario — Toyota Canada will once again open the doors of its automotive plant in Cambridge, Ontario, to members of the Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario.

The members-only, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, will include a plant tour showcasing Toyota's use of assembly robots as part of its Lean production system. The tour will be followed by an educational debrief with Lean experts highlighting how Toyota’s Lean and continuous improvement strategies can be implemented in a wood products manufacturing environment.

Lunch and the post-tour Lean discussion will be hosted at Cowan Insurance.

Registration will open in mid-January.
