WMCO begins offering members CFIB benefits

HANOVER, Ontario – The Wood Manufacturing Cluster of Ontario (WMCO) announced that it signed an agreement with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). The agreement allows the WMCO to offer its members access to a variety of CFIB benefits including business support, savings programs and independent business advocacy.

CFIB is Canada’s largest advocacy organization servicing independent businesses. It has more than 95,000 members.

Benefits available to WMCO members include:

  • Complimentary, unlimited access to CFIB’s bilingual business advisors. They can assist with a wide variety of business-related issued such as HR, compliance, regulation, employment standards, labour laws, and COVID-19.
  • A wide selection of CFIB templates for HR and compliance requirements, with telephone assistance from CFIB business advisors.
  • Free CFIB webinars on a wide variety of topics for business owners.
  • Free VUbiz online continuing education courses focused on health & safety, compliance, people management, customer relations, and more.
  • CFIB savings programs such as payment processing, payroll processing, property and casualty insurance (including legal assistance), worldwide courier/shipping, employee benefit programs, banking discounts, etc. CFIB calculates that one of its typical members can save more than $5,000 per year through the savings program.
  • Join with more than 95,000 CFIB members, enhancing the effectiveness of CFIB advocacy work that saves businesses thousands of dollars every year.
  • The WMCO head office team will also have access to CFIB’s business advisors, savings programs, and advocacy support.
