Structurlam’s Kam-Biron honored by structural engineering council

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Michelle Kam-Biron, a mass timber specialist of Strructurlam, was awarded the Susan M. Frey Educator Award from the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA).

The annual award recognizes an individual for excellence in the effective instruction of practicing structural engineers. The award was established to honor the memory of Sue Frey, one of NCSEA’s renowned educators.

Kam-Biron has more than 20 years of experience managing and designing a wide range of products. She is a California-licensed structural engineer and previously served as vice president of education for the American Wood Council. She is also a former president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC) and was recently inducted into the SEAOSC College of Fellows. 

Structurlam manufactures GlulamPLUS and CrossLam CLT products for distribution throughout North America.
