ROUSES POINT, N.Y. — Fermos, a Montreal-based manufacturer of wood, metal and acrylic retail displays and fixtures, entered into a lease for approximately 60,000 square feet for a warehouse and distribution operation.

The 70-year-old company will occupy space in a former pharmaceutical plant that Pfizer closed in 2017. The site is now owned by ERS Rouses Point LLC.

Rouses Point is located in the northeast corner of New York less than one mile from the Canadian border. The new warehouse is 72km (45 miles) due south of Montreal.

According to its website, Fermos operates a 100,000-square-foot-plus manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facility in Montreal. In addition, the company has a manufacturing partnership in Asia.

Fermos breaks down its products into three broad categories: Retail and hospitality, hardware and lighting. Customers include Holiday Inn, Home Depot, Lord & Taylor, and Hudson’s Bay.
