MasterBrand Cabinets' parent Fortune Brands said sales increased 3 percent to $1.28 billion, despite softening activity in repair and remodeling. Cabinetry sales flattened.

Kitchen & Bath Business has named MasterBrand Cabinets among the top five most preferred kitchen cabinet brands in the 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.

Kitchen & Bath Business named top five preferred makers of cabinets, vanities, kitchen countertops, and hardware, among other remodeling sources. More than 11,000 votes were cast, yield some new names in the fourth annual edition of the program.

MasterBrand Cabinets was recently honored with five Platinum Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) for Omega Cabinetry, Diamond Cabinetry and Kitchen Craft Cabinetry.

The nation's largest cabinet manufacturer continues to grow. MasterBrand Cabinets announced it is expanding its operations at the Auburn, AL, facility, adding a third shift and 150 employees. This will bring the total number of employees at the plant to 530.

MasterBrand Cabinets will hire 125 at its Auburn, AL plant. It held a job fair Saturday, October 20. Posted at its website are positions for nine technical and executive level positions at the plant.
