Making a spiral cut in wood?
Hello, I am looking to make a very unique pair of chopsticks. Essentially, this pair of chopsticks would be cut out of a single cylindrical piece of wood. I'm looking for a way to cut a cylindrical price of wood lengthwise, in a spiral cut (see image for clarification). The first thing that came to mind was that a CNC machine could probably do this, but I do not have one nor do I have access to one. Maybe I could very carefully do this by clamping the wood so it is vertical and use a coping saw? I do not have much wood working experience, so some guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks, Chris
