The clothing is ideal for a variety of locations. Here, I paired the FreeFlex Hybrid Tee with GridIron Double Knee Jogger pants.

Part of Milwaukee's FreeFlex Collection, the women’s pullover hoodie features reinforced pockets, a three-panel hood, and a forward shoulder construction for a relaxed fit.

I admit, I don’t have my own woodworking shop. But when Milwaukee Tool’s offered the chance to try out its new line of women’s workwear, I jumped at the opportunity.

Launched earlier this year, women’s jobsite apparel, part of the GridIron, FreeFlex, and WorkSkin collections, includes three shirts, a hooded sweatshirt, and two pairs of pants. Extensive research went into these durable products, which Milwaukee Product Manager Nadia Sinner has said, are “fitted and designed specifically for tradeswomen by tradeswomen.”

I tried on the “next generation” Milwaukee Work pants and GridIron Double Knee Jogger pants and found both equally comfortable and durable, with handy storage for tools or other essentials. Made from a tear-and-abrasion-resistant fabric, with triple-stitched seams, the Work pants feature a high-rise straight fit, tool clip-on zones, and seven pockets. The women’s Double Knee Jogger pants also have a high-rise straight fit, seven deep pockets at the front, back, and right leg for storing tools and other items, plus nylon-reinforced clip-on zones on the front and left pockets.

Both paired well with the FreeFlex nylon webbing 1.5-inch belt, very comfortable and with a non-slip buckle.

Equally comfortable were the FreeFlex short sleeve Hybrid Tee, with its easy stretch and forward shoulder design, and the GridIron women’s short sleeve Logo Tee, made from a cotton/poly blend with anti-odor and moisture-wicking technologies. Topping it off, the FreeFlex hoodie has reinforced pockets and a three-panel hood, which gives it a better fit, even on windy days.

Milwaukee’s women’s Work pants are available in khaki and gray, with an MSRP of $49.99, and the GridIron Double Knee Jogger pants, available in black, gray or brown, retail at $79.99. Available in black, gray or purple, the FreeFlex Pullover Hoodie has an MRSP of $54.99 and the Hybrid Work Tee is priced at $24.99. The Gridiron Pocket T-Shirt is available in black, gray or blue, and the Logo Tee, in red, are both $22.99. The black FreeFlex belt has an MSRP of $39.99.
