October’s FDMC Leadership edition brings together into one publication four of Woodworking Network’s recognition programs: the Wood Industry Market Leaders, 40 Under 40, WOOD 100 and FDMC 300. Here’s a brief look at each:

The Wood Industry Market Leaders: Since 2009, Woodworking Network  has paid tribute to select individuals that have made an impact, not only at their companies, but within the various wood products industries: cabinet, residential furniture, contract furniture, architectural woodwork, store fixture, home organization and components. 40 Under 40: Making its debut in 2016, the program celebrates the achievements of woodworking’s next generation, who are already making a difference in the industry. This year’s 40 winners were selected from a field of more than 135 nominations; the nomination process was heavily shared on social media. Winners were also recognized at an event held during IWF. WOOD 100: Now in its 27th year, the WOOD 100: Strategies for Success details a variety of innovative as well as tried-and-true initiatives put in place by 100  North American wood products manufacturers to grow their businesses. Categories include: Marketing Initiatives, Go-to-Market Strategies, Business Strategies, Productivity Enhancements, Technology Integration, Product Innovation and Customer Service. FDMC 300: For more than two decades the FDMC 300 annual report has tracked the largest companies in the cabinet, furniture, millwork, store fixture, home organization, components and other wood products industries, ranking them by sales. In addition to the listings and information published in February, this edition provides a snapshot of the Top 10 companies in key market segments.
