MANHEIM, Pa. — Crows Nest Software will showcase its completely redesigned website and conduct demonstrations of its ERP and project management software at Wood Pro Expo Lancaster, Oct. 24-25, at Spooky Nook Sports.

The new website highlights Crows Nest’s focus on providing a highly customizable, enterprise software solution for project-based manufacturers, service providers, and subcontractors in cabinetmaking, millwork, casework, architectural woodworking, and other specialty trades. The company continues to improve and include added features to its functionality.

Recent feature developments of Crows Nest Software include the following:  

Event Calendar
New Event Calendar has been added to work alongside the renamed Capacity Calendar. 

• The new Event Calendar is multidimensional in its ability to display respective project, work order, task, and employee dates both individually or in combination, for any desired period of time. 
• Each data type’s respective date may be color-coded for easy identification, i.e. project, work order, task and employee. 
• Various tally views may also be selected for each time period and data type selection such as sheet count. 
• Usage examples might look at how many bids or quotes are due within the current or next two months, displayed on a daily basis. 
• Alternately, each Assembly Task’s start date, duration and total quantity of budgeted Assembly hours cab be viewed during a selected time period. 
• Hovering over a displayed item will also produce a pop-out view offering context-sensitive, additional information such as a displayed task with its pop-out showing the task check list status, notes, real-time percent of labor expended against its labor budget. 
• Displayed dates may also be exported with a simple mouse click to an Outlook Calendar.

Project Boards
New Project Boards views have been added. 

• Look at the big picture across all projects grouped by their current status. 
• View all entered work orders grouped by their current status. 
• View across all estimates, drawings, and punch lists. 
• Click on a particular board progress and update its new status via drag and drop.
• Each board will offer additional information such as selecting the Project Board, wherein projects will be displayed and sorted by a selected project date, while additionally displaying stake holder-assigned project roles.

Dashboards
Crows Nest now offers a “complete capability,” Dashboard Creation tool enabling unlimited dashboards to be created for each user. This new tool:

• Supports multiple objects such as pivot tables, grids, charts, scatter charts, pie charts, gauges, cards, tree maps, choropleth maps, and geo point maps to form any view desired for the given purpose. 
• Chart functionality includes trend, regression lines, constant line, and strip presentations. 
• Out-of-the-box Bottleneck and Planned Hours by Department dashboards which can be 100% tailored to the user’s requirements.

Equipment – Fixed Assets 
Catalog and manage fixed assets by navigating to Resources->Equipment. This module is designed to streamline the process of tracking fixed assets, ranging from vehicles and machinery to computers and furniture. Users can easily attach photos, documents, or any relevant information directly to the asset profile, facilitating a more detailed and comprehensive asset inventory. This visual component not only simplifies the identification process but also serves as a valuable tool for maintenance, insurance claims, and audits.
