MANHEIM, Pa. – The Cabinet Makers Association is organizing a bus tour of three local woodworking shops the day before the opening of Wood Pro Expo Lancaster.
Tour buses will depart from the Warehouse at the Nook at 8:15 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
Stops will include:
Bird-in-Hand-Woodworks Inc., a division of Childcraft. The company’s high-tech shop in Lancaster recently converted to using Lockdowel for product assembly.
Lunch at Shady Maple Smorgasbord, in East Earl
Seven Trees Woodworking, a CMA member, which was recently featured in FDMC magazine. The company manufactures architectural millwork and cabinetry at its 28,000-square-foot facility in New Holland.
Keystone Wood Turning of Ephrata, a specialist in the production of custom wood turnings using CNC lathes.
The tour is sponsored by Lockdowel.
Registration for the tour is $60 until Friday, Sept. 16, and $70 afterwards. The fee includes transportation and registration for the Wood Pro Expo exhibit hall on Thursday, Oct. 13, and Friday, Oct. 14.
