Jim Bouchard, founder Sensei Leadership movement

During the Wood Pro conference track on Wednesday, April 27, Bouchard will conduct a Sensei Leadership Workshop. The author and frequent lecturer will help woodworking managers discover how addressing challenges head-on can help them discover new talents and improve the way they lead and relate to others.

Bouchard will also deliver a free keynote presentation at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 28, immediately before the opening of Wood Pro Expo, co-located with the Closets Expo at the San Diego Convention Center. His talk will focus on how leaders can attract, train and maintain their employees by creating a positive culture in their organizations.

"Inspire, empower and guide" are the three main tenants that managers need to embrace to become Sensei leaders. Human-centric leadership is all about building resilience, promoting peak performance, and boosting profitability, according to Bouchard. “When your people succeed, you succeed.”
