LEESBURG, Va. - Wade Mosby has been selected as the 2018 Brock R. Landry Industry Leadership Award recipient. The award, which honors individuals for their outstanding contributions and leadership to the composite panel industry, was announced at the fall meeting of the Composite Panel Association.

In announcing the award, CPA Chairman Louis Brassard commended Mosby for his years of service on behalf of the composite panel industry. Prior to his retirement, Mosby was the senior vice president of Collins Products. Mosby also led the charge in advocating for equitable industry regulations in California and served as an important early leading voice for the industry with the green building community. He served as CPA chairman in 2003 and 2004 and also founded the Environmental and Public Affairs Committee, which he chaired for more than eight years.

The award was presented to Mosby during the CPA Fall Meeting & Material, Technology & Design Symposium, held Sept. 23-25 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The annual award was created to recognize CPA counsel Brock R. Landry for his more than 40 years of significant contributions to the North American composite panel industry. Last year's recipient of the inaugural award was Kelly Shotbolt, president of Arauco North America.

Founded in 1960, CPA represents the North American wood-based composite panel and decorative surfacing industries on technical standards, industry regulation, and product acceptance. CPA General Members include the leading manufacturers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), hardboard and engineered wood siding/trim in North America, representing more than 90% of industry manufacturing capacity.
