2016 Veneer Tech Craftsman's Challenge entry by David Fitch of Heirloom Woodworks

You have just a few days to now to make the June 1 deadline for the 12th Annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge, the international design competition with cash awards that highlights achievement in the use of natural wood veneer products in the categories of Architectural Woodworking, Cabinetry, Furniture, Specialty Products, Store Fixtures, and Student Design.

It doesn’t matter how much or how little veneer or other wood product application you have used in your project or where you purchased the veneer material. All you have to do is show us your craftsman’s touch. Plus, not only is the Grand Prize entry awarded $3000, but the distributor for that entry receives $2000 and the distributor salesman receives $1000 for supplying the veneer products or wood product application used. Entering could not be easier!

Third party industry leaders will judge all entries and make awards at their discretion. Awards will be officially announced at IWF Atlanta, August 24-27, 2016. Eligible winners of the cash prizes awarded for the Grand Prize winning entry are: the craftsperson, designer, builder, or manufacturer; the distributor/supplier; and the distributor/supplier sales representative. Entries may be submitted on behalf of those eligible to win by any industry professional associated with the project.

ALL ENTRIES MUST HAVE BEEN PRODUCED WITHIN THE PAST FIVE YEARS (JANUARY 2011-MAY 2016) AND NOT PREVIOUSLY ENTERED IN A CRAFTSMAN'S CHALLENGE COMPETITION.

All projects must have been produced using natural veneer and wood product application. Use of any amount of veneer wood products in the project will qualify the entry. It is not required that Veneer Technologies be the source of materials used to create the entry.

Entries may be posted on www.veneertech.com and/or appear in print, and winners can receive valuable publicity in industry publications and websites.
