LAS VEGAS -  Mohawk Flooring will sponsor a lunch with famed Google executive Ben Tyson during Construction Week in Las Vegas on January 20, 2016.

Co-sponsored by FloorForce Website Solutions, it is aimed at flooring dealers attending the SURFACES expo that, along with KBIS and the International Builders' Show form the core of Construction Week events at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The purpose of this limited seating, one-hour lunch event is to educate retailers on growing their respective businesses and succeeding in today's digital world. Flooring retailers, specifically, have reported challenges in staying current with the ever-evolving digital landscape. As a result, training and education on the shift from traditional media to digital has become more important than ever.

As Google's head of sales enablement, Tyson has conducted more than 300 trainings to over 30,000 sales reps, 2,000 account managers and 1,000 sales managers.

"If there is one event that every retailer should attend at SURFACES; "Lunch with Google' would be it," says Tom Lape, President of Mohawk's residential division. "I can personally guarantee retailers will receive a valuable, insider look at how they can generate online leads and close more sales in 2016." Lunch with Google will be held at 11 a.m. on January 20 at the SURFACES Expo in Las Vegas. Seats are limited. Register at bit.ly/LunchwithGoogle

"Google is excited to join FloorForce and Mohawk Flooring, both leaders in the flooring industry, to help retailers capture more customers online," says Tyson. "I am confident that flooring retailers will walk away from 'Lunch with Google' with a greater understanding of digital marketing and its power in generating sales."
