Doellken's digital-edge core design wins 2018 pro-K award

FRANKFURT, Germany. - Pro-K Industrieverband has awarded Doellken the 2018 pro-K award for its digital-edge core design. The competition allows manufacturers of consumer plastic products to present their products prominently and to focus on the varied possibilities of the material.
 
"The pro-K award enjoys general popularity within the industry," says Ralf Olsen, general manager of pro-K. "The competition highlights the growing plastics industry and gives companies a platform to better position themselves and their products."
 
Doellken says its digital-edge core design is a quality product and is subject to strict quality control. It is available for ABS- and PP-edgebands as well as ABS- and PP fusion-edge while meeting the strict standards of the furniture industry, especially for the kitchen.
 
"We are very pleased to announce the pro-K award 2018 for our new product, digital-edge core design," says Mr. Meyer zu Drewer, head of product management industry. "The product idea was created by our employees in the field of digital printing within the framework of idea management; I am particularly pleased [that] the performance of the employees was also awarded." 
 
The digital-edge core design offers design solutions to inspire customers with creative novelties while Doellken’s technology allows the simultaneous printing of two different decors onto the edgeband.
