Lighthouse Rook is latest Next Wave chess piece

The Lighthouse Rook is the latest piece announced in the Next Wave Automation 10th anniversary CNC Shark chess set. Free design files are available for the set.

Perrysburg, OH –Next Wave Automation continues to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of its “CNC Shark” by using it to build a unique chess set. The company is offering free instructions and VCarve files for making the complete set. The chess set will be revealed as a project each month until the entire set has been created.

This month’s project is The Lighthouse Rook. Previously posted – and still available on the company website - Commemorative Chess Set projects include the chess board, Piranha Pawn and Seahorse Knight.

The Seahorse Knight was previously released as part of the Next Wave commerative chess set.

“The Commemorative Chess Set is a really fun project,” says Tim Owens, founder and CEO. It perfectly illustrates some of the intricate detail and creativity woodworkers can achieve with CNCs.”

Since the introduction of the CNC Shark in 2007, Next Wave Automation has introduced and entire line of Desktop  CNC machines and accessories and has won several industry awards for its innovative products. Next Wave Automation products are distributed across the United States by an ever-expanding dealer network.

Available now, at no charge on www.NextWaveAutomation.com, are downloadable instructions and design files for the chess board. Each month, Next Wave Automation will upload instructions and design files for a chess piece each month.

The first piece revealed in the set was the Piranha Pawn.
