Designer Jeanne Hessen, Closet Factory, Deerfield Beach, Florida, submitted this home office in the 2018 Top Shelf Design Awards. It was a People’s Choice award winner.

Project description:

This home office was designed for a doctor in Delray Beach, Florida, who wanted a contemporary multi-functioning office with clean smooth and flowing lines.

2019 Top Shelf Design Awards reception to be held March 7 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Project construction:

Features include white B2 maple slab cabinets with full overlay, lights placed on floating shelves to accent accessories. Doormark textured material is used on the wall panel and waterfall under the desk. A 1/2-inch glass was used on the peninsula and over the waterfall. Quartz was used on sides of the peninsula and on the bench. The bench doubles as file storage for the client and also toy drawers for her son. There is also a pop-up electrical outlet on the countertop for the client to be able to plug in electronics.
