Actor Mario Lopez surprises sister with home remodeling project

Actor Mario Lopez joined with Houzz, the online home design and remodeling platform, to surprise his sister with a renovated dance studio/fitness area in her Texas home.

Lopez, the current host of Extra and former star of the late 80s/early 90s hit “Saved by the Bell,” turned to Houzz to find local designers and contractors to do the job.

“So, since I'm in California and my sister lives in Texas, I turned Houzz to help make this renovation happen, he says in the above video. “I went to Houzz and looked up local contractors in the Houston area and Sneller Custom Homes popped up. So, I had a conversation with Matt (Sneller) and he suggested Cindy (Cindy Aplanalp Yates is the founder and principal designer of Chairma Design Group) come onto the project.”

Sneller and Yates eventually flew to Los Angeles to discuss the project with Lopez. Learn more about the process and the outcome in the above video.
