2019 brings new opportunities beyond the closet

Happy New Year Everyone! 2019 looks to be another great year for remodeling and home organization projects. Most folks make New Year’s resolutions. In 2019, some of the top New Year’s resolutions for Americans are beginning or learning a new hobby and getting more organized. If you know how to help people design and/or organize their lives, you are in a great position to prosper.

The Feds continue to raise interest rates, slowing home buying which always increases remodeling as homeowners look for options to improve their existing homes rather than buying a new one.

I’m not telling you anything you don’t know but if you aren’t looking at branching into hobby/crafts and multi-use rooms, as well as garages and other outdoor storage you are missing an opportunity.

Here’s a list of what Closets & Organized Storage will be up to the beginning of this year and ways we can help you gain the insight and knowledge you need to grow:

February: Woodworking Network and Closets & Organized Storage will be exhibiting at the 2019 International Builders Show (IBS) and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. Our booth is SU3535 and we hope you will stop by, and say “hi”. Our staff will walk the show looking at what’s new in organization components, lighting, hardware, and accessories.

March 6-8: Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo will co-locate with Wood Pro Expo in Charlotte. The event is packed with three days of educational activities, some paid and some free. We have expanded the conference program to include two plants tours, lunch and, a reception, compliments of Biesse North America.

The expo is already almost sold out so attendees can expect to see supplies, accessories, tooling and operating machinery on the show floor. And, this year we have moved the Top Shelf Design Awards out of the convention center to the NASCAR Hall of Fame located next door. More can be found on pages 30, 31 and 37.

April 14-16: Woodworking Network produces the Executive Briefing Conference (EBC.) The EBC features 2-1/2 days of top-level information for industry leaders.  The conference will focus on topics that challenge leaders of companies every day from tariffs, employees, design and manufacturing trends.
