‘Magic Numbers and Financial Impacts’ on tap at 2022 Closets Conference

SAN DIEGO -- Tim Coleman has learned a thing or three about maximizing the bottom line in his more than three decades in the closet and home storage business.

At the 2022 Closets Conference, Coleman will share his insights when he takes the stage to present, “Magic Numbers and Financial Impacts.” He plans to unlock some of the secrets to getting ahead and call attention to “the little things that matter.”

Coleman was recently named division manager of SCE Unlimited’s Chicago location. SCE supplies wire and solid closet systems, plus shower doors, mirrors, and bathroom hardware. He founded and ran Coleman Custom Closets from 1988 to 2017 when he merged it with Mike Douglass Flooring to create Douglas Coleman Home Solutions in North Aurora, Illinois.
Coleman has become somewhat a fixture of the Closets & Organized Storage media brand. In addition to presenting in a variety of live and online educational programs, he has been a judge of Closet and Home Storage’s annual Top Shelf Design Awards for several years running.

Coleman’s most recent endeavor with Closets & Organized Storage is authoring a four-part series about growing a closet business. The first part, “7 Benefits of Being a Small Business,” was published in the September/October issue of Closets & Organized Storage. In it, he notes, “Assuming you are a small business, ask yourself:  Are you comfortable?  Do you want to grow? How will you accomplish growth? We have all heard the expression, ‘Make a plan, then work the plan.’  The reason we hear this statement so often is because it is a true and effective assertion!”

The annual Closets Conference is co-organized by Closets & Organized Storage and the Association of Closet and Storage Professionals.

Other Closets Conference sessions include:

The full-day Closets Conference, which runs concurrently with the Wood Pro Conference, will be capped by a tour of a local manufacturing facility. The two-day Closets Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Expo California, follows on April 28-29 at the San Diego Convention Center. (View three-day event schedule.)
