SCHAUMBURG, Ill. – Genesis Products, a leading supplier of laminated panels and wood components for a variety of industries, will feature its Carolina Garage wood powder-coated garage cabinets at Closets Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Illinois, April 17-19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Genesis’ 2023 acquisition of Funder, one of the largest thermally fused laminate panel producers, strengthened its capacity as a comprehensive supplier of laminated components across several categories and product offerings.

The Carolina Garage cabinets are made of powder-coated MDF, and according to the company, the weather-resistant products are ideal for warm-weather locations where basements aren’t an option. Manufactured at its 500,000-square-foot Funder facility in Mocksville, North Carolina, the garage line comes in eight colors, stippled textures, and various configurations. Dealer opportunities for this line are available.

New TFL collection
Genesis also plans to showcase a new collection of woodgrains and solids from Funder by Genesis Products at the Expo. The company says the collection reflects the latest trends in residential and commercial closet design and offers a variety of options for creating timeless appeal.

The new collection of woodgrains and solids from Funder by Genesis Products is curated to inspire and captivate designers and architects, the company says.
  • The Maritime Teak TFL woodgrains: a nautical palette featuring cathedral structures.
  • The Quartered Oak TFL woodgrains: a woodlands-inspired palette featuring linear structures.
  • The Modern Oasis TFL solid collection: a trend-forward palette with soothing, muted colors.
  • The Veritas Plate: An ultra-realistic texture that brings out the true beauty of any woodgrain.

“These are exciting times. The dynamics and flexibility of these new series and textures combine to create our most authentic and realistic palette of woodgrains to date. We observed and listened to our key customers and market segments to bring these new products to life,” says Wayne Gordon, Director of Product Surfaces for Genesis Products.

“On top of our new collections and finishes, we’ve revamped our Surface Synergies Program to include comprehensive and complete matches of all decorative surfaces – TFL, HPL, 3D, 2D and edgebanding."
