A near-record turnout of more than 270 attendees, including 51 first-timers and 13 new member companies, attended the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association's Fall Conference held this year in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The multi-day event included speakers that explored cyber attacks, international trade, artificial intelligence, and a panel discussion on pioneers in the cabinet industry.
The highlight of the conference was the plant tours on October 4 and October 5 which gave attendees a chance to tour four unique factories. On Oct. 4, a caravan of five buses departed downtown Fort Wayne and toured Indiana Dimenions Inc. in the morning and Genesis Products in the afternoon. The next day, the tour made stops at a leading cabinet company, Kountry Wood, and later in the day at Alliance RV.
The KCMA will host its annual Spring Conference this spring in Austin, Texas.
Editor's Note: Below are just a few images of the conference and plant tours. Stay tuned for more videos and stories about the manufacturing facilities on this year's tour.
Sharing knowledge was one of the keystones between the attendees of all sizes and experience levels. One of the newest and youngest of these attendees was Thomas Dresch of Thomas Dresch Woodworking and the 24-year-old was not just new to the KCMA, but new to the cabinet industry. After learning of his story, the other members shared their collective knowledge, and one company, software manufacturer, Cyncly, after learning how he scrimped and saved to travel and attend the meeting from his home state of Texas, chipped him and reimbursed him for his conference fee.
