The Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) will host a variety of activities for members to participate in during this summer’s AWFS Fair in Las Vegas.

Join the CMA at the show that attracts more than 15,000 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors from throughout the United States and abroad. While you’re at AWFS, use the CMA’s booth space as a place to meet up with members throughout the show, charge your phone, or just hang out. The CMA will be in Booth #10053.

What’s your problem?

The CMA’s  activities begin on the first day of the show, Wednesday, July 19. That evening immediately following the show, we will hold our very popular “What’s Your Problem?” roundtable discussion.

Participants will discuss the challenges they face at the shop, and learn from each other. This event is open to anyone to attend – you do not have to be a CMA member to participate. This will begin at 5:15 pm in Room N208 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Meet & greet

The networking continues immediately following the roundtable discussion on “What’s Your Problem?”

On Wednesday evening, CMA will hold its first-ever New Member Meet & Greet. This is an ideal opportunity for those members new to the CMA to meet the board of directors and past presidents who are at the show. This will be held in the lobby of the Embassy Suites hotel.

Wood Diamond Awards

The fun continues on the next day of the show. On Thursday, July 20 at 1 p.m., the Wood Diamond Award winners will be announced on the AWFS Stage in the Convention Hall.

Everyone is invited to attend this special ceremony, which recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of your industry peers.

Launched in 2010, the Wood Diamond Awards is an annual program by the CMA that helps promote excellence in woodworking and cabinetry. Members that participate and win awards have been able to use their achievement in their local marketing programs to promote their respective business in the area. This is yet another benefit to membership in the CMA.

Appreciation banquet

CMA members are also invited to attend the association’s annual Member Appreciation Banquet. The banquet will be held on Thursday evening, at 5:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites hotel.

The event is free for members, but advance registration is required.

Details and registration information for all CMA events held during AWFS can be found online at Cabinetmakers.org/awfs-2017.

The CMA was incorporated in 1998 by a group of custom cabinetmakers who thought the small- to mid-size shop needed to network and help each other grow profitably. Currently, CMA membership is made up primarily of operations with 20 or fewer employees, with the vast majority of those being 1-5 person shops.
