Customers allegedly lose thousands in deposits after Tru Cabinetry closure

ASHLAND, Ala. -- Customers who made down payments on cabinets from Tru Cabinetry before the company's announcement that it was closing operations have not received their cabinets or received reimbursement for the down payment. Reports from 1819News said that several customers have not been compensated for their partial payment. One customer, who told 1819News that she had a family member who was a Tru Cabinetry employee, had ordered cabinets in July to remodel a kitchen and put down nearly $5,000 toward the purchase.
