DANBURY, CT Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. is launching the American Colors furniture line, an introduction that coincides with the company's 80th anniversary.
Ethan Allen said American Colors. debuting at retail this month, is "inspired by the American landscape" and will add 15 new finishes, including Sunflower Yellow, Kelly Green, Geranium Red, plus some 200 new fabrics to its existing line.
Late last month, Ethan Allen began observing its 80th anniversary in earnest. Chairman, President and CEO Farooq Kathwari celebrated with staff and special guests at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Orleans and Beecher Falls, VT, the birthplace of Ethan Allen furniture. The following day, Kathwari, along with executives of the publicly traded company and guests, rang the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange.
On tap is an anniversary reception planned for this Tuesday at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury. Ethan Allen management will celebrate the thousands of skilled craftspeople and interior design professionals who carry on the company’s legacy. Further celebrations are planned for the months to come, including at Ethan Allen's manufacturing plants in North Carolina, Ethan Allen Design Centers across the nation.
“Since 1932, the company has found inspiration in the diversity of American style, and we are proud that we still manufacture approximately seventy percent of our products in our North American plants,” said Kathwari.
