MINDEN, Germany -- Altendorf Group has announced that Peter Schwenk has joined the Altendorf Group as the new CEO. Schwenk has a history in the machine building industry with substantial experience and knowledge working for companies such as Kannegiesser, Pfaff Industrial AG and Ewag AG (United Grinding Group) as a CEO and further as managing director for the Lapp Group cable harness division. Additionally, as a senior business executive Schwenk holds a solid track record in international growth-oriented companies.

Altendorf has joined fellow woodworking machinery giant Felder and developed a table saw safety system that senses flesh before it comes into contact with the blade.

Two companies in Germany, Maschinenbau Hebrock GmbH and Altendorf GmbH, are also part of the Altendorf Group.

Altendorf Group announces the opening of its North American headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina, and the setup of its own network of distributors for Altendorf sliding table saws and Hebrock edgebanders.

Stiles Machinery and The Altendorf Group will end their exclusive partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2019. Stiles has been the sole distributor of Altendorf sliding table saw technology since the 1980s.
