McFarland Cascade names Wayne Wilkinson president and COO

TACOMA, WA -- McFarland Cascade announced that it has appointed Wayne Wilkinson as its new President & COO. Wilkinson will be responsible for leading the strategic planning and day-to-day operations, reporting directly to Co-Chairmen & Chief Executive Officers, Corry and Greg McFarland.  McFarland Cascade is North America’s largest producer of utility poles and structures, and the largest producer of preservatively treated lumber consumer products and  outdoor projects in the Western United States, according to the manufacturer.

Wilkinson brings more than 24 years of executive leadership experience to McFarland Cascade. Prior to joining the company, he spent 12 years at Toshiba America Business Solutions where he held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager and for which he held responsibility for 2,700 employees in 140 offices across 30 states. During his tenure at Toshiba, Mr. Wilkinson completed more than 55 acquisitions, which resulted in an 18% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over a 10-year period.

“We have a nearly 100-year track record of profitability and growth and we are entering a period where we intend to continue aggressively expanding our business. I think Wayne is an extremely well qualified individual to provide team leadership through this next phase of growth,” said Greg McFarland, Co-Chief Executive Officer at McFarland Cascade.
