Timber Products names Mark Avery as Chief Operating Officer

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Timber Products Company announced that Mark Avery has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Avery will join the leadership team at Timber Products on August 6.
 
“We are excited to have Mark join the team,” said Steve Killgore, CEO of Timber Products. “His strong history of leadership in the wood products industry will allow our company to be well positioned going forward.”
 
Avery has more than 20 years of management experience in the industry. Most recently, he served as the Senior Vice President of Industrial Products and National Accounts at Roseburg Forest Products. His background includes extensive experience in operations of composites, plywood and lumber. Avery has completed several significant acquisitions, led teams in largescale
capital projects and has been particularly successful in establishing rapport and executing business plans with both sales and operations.

Avery received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama, Huntsville. He has four children with his wife Jamie–two daughters who live in Eugene and two sons who are attending college.
 
Avery will oversee all operations, sales and transportation departments. Over the next few months, he will meet with employees throughout Timber Products.

Bill volunteers for Foinse Research Station, a biological field station staddling the border of Ireland and Northern Ireland, one of more than 200 members of the Organization of Biological Field Stations.
