GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Universal Forest Products Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of wood and wood-alternative products, on April 16 announced its first-quarter results, including net sales of $489.5 million, down from $549.0 million for the first quarter of 2007, according to BusinessWire.
