LP $29.2 million Q2 loss represents improvement
NASHVILLE – Louisiana-Pacific Corp. reported a net loss of $29.3 million in the second quarter ended June 30, compared to a loss of $80.8 million in the same period a year ago.

The loss came on $266.2 million second quarter revenues, which LP attributed to substantially reduced U.S. housing starts.

“Home building and related activity continued at historic low levels during the second quarter of 2009, driven by ongoing credit crisis, high unemployment and generally poor economic conditions,” said LP’s CEO Rick Frost.
