NASHVILLE - Gibson Guitar, seeking several high level executives, is advertising for a general manager to build and manage a new manufacturing division for the wood guitar and instrument company. Gibson moved its world headquarters to Nashville in 1984 when it closed its Kalamazoo, MI plant. Its Nashville plant was built in 1974 specifically for the production of Gibson's Les Paul guitars. The financially troubled Gibson was rescued in January 1986 by Henry Juszkiewicz and David Berryman. The general manager position requires 10 years experience "to build and grow a new manufacturing division." Gibson is also seeking a product manager and a global retail director.
