TOANO, VA -- Lumber Liquidators (NYSE: LL) promoted Ray Cotton to Senior VP, Chief Compliance and Sustainability Officer.
First appointed last year as Lumber Liquidators faced Federal inquiries into possible Lacey Act violations, Cotton continues to report to CEO Robert Lynch. He had been VP, Chief Compliance and Sustainability Officer. Before he joined the company, Cotton had high level corporate risk and security responsibilities for Facebook, Riverbed Technology, and Orchard Hardware and Supply - the latter now part of Lowe's Hardware.
In connection with his promotion Cotton will lead Lumber Liquidators' strategic quality and sustainability initiatives as well as its environmental outreach activities. In addition, he will be responsible for developing and overseeing Lumber Liquidators' sourcing and product compliance policies.
