Wood-Mode has been in the closet for years and is sharing insights about that during this year’s Cabinet and Closets Conference and Expo.
You see, they’ve actually designed a closet for Dream Home in the Chicago Merchandise Mart and we’ve captured some of those elements.
Any closet professional worth their salt would agree that an essential part of a “dream home” is having a “dream closet”. So when the Dream Home Team approached Wood-Mode a few houses back, they said “yes” to designing a Dressing Room fit for a queen. In charge of the effort was Fernando Soler in conjunction with the Wood-Mode team and they created a truly beautiful environment.

The team utilized Wood-Mode’s rattan cane cabinetry, which is actually a laminate product. The top for the island, as well as the backing in this closet, are a cherry java stained maple veneer. It’s a wonderful combination that this video demonstrates visually, along with several other interesting features that Soler incorporated including a pull-out shelf in the island that has storage underneath.
And when I asked (because I’m sure you want to know) what the thinking was behind Wood-Mode’s foray into designing a dressing room for such a prominent and well-established event, the response was a very straightforward, “We want to increase the awareness of our product line offering. We want people to know that we offer this sort of thing so more people will engage with us in designing space of this caliber” said Soler.
Their session at the closet conference will take place on April 14th at 11:15 AM.
We’re excited to hear updates from them at the upcoming show. And while we’re waiting, here’s a quick video to give you an idea of the amazing things they can accomplish:
