Gibbs Group to feature Woodwelder and cup brush sander at WMS 2025
Gibbs North America Woodwelder

TORONTO — Gibbs Group North America will highlight the Tregarne Woodwelder at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo.

The Woodwelder is a portable radio frequency machine generator weighing 150 lbs. that produces radio waves, via a pair of triode valves. The RF is then modified to 27 megahertz and passed down the coaxial cable to the handgun. The electrodes on the handgun are placed across the glue line. When the trigger on the handgun is activated, the radio waves pass into the glue line. The radio waves vibrate the water molecules in the glue, causing heat and the heat sets off the glue, all completed in 15 seconds or less. (See video below.)

Gibbs will also display the C-1000 cup brush sander from Gibbs-Sandtech. The cup brush sander, manufactured in Great Britain, is designed and engineered to perform delicate sealer sanding as well as general sanding tasks.
