WMS Live preview video: Closets & Cabinets: Profits Good, Service Calls Bad

TORONTO — Two seasoned veterans of the home organization and storage industry will share their knowledge and expertise in a special presentation of the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo. 

The free session, Closets & Cabinets: Profits Good, Service Calls Bad, will take place at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 12 on the WMS Live stage (booth #804).

Tim Coleman, Principal of Coleman Collaborations Consulting Group, will launch the session by discussing how to maximize profits. In his words, “It all starts at the beginning when you bid the job.” Coleman will stress the importance of understanding the numbers that help a company uncover its true expenses. From material and labor to sales and overhead costs, learn how to find what's eating the bottom line.

Dave Skinner, owner of We Do Closets, will follow, focusing on the hidden financial drain of constant service calls. Drawing from personal experience, he will reveal costs beyond technician time and travel, such as lost productivity and administrative burdens. Skinner will show how to identify and eliminate these hidden costs of poor processes and service calls.
