Video: Building a toy camera from sycamore, wenge, and purpleheart

Filmmaker and woodworker Mason Drumm shows how he built a wooden toy camera for his daughter.

Drumm used sycamore for the top and bottom, wenge for the middle section, and purpleheart for the accent pieces.

Drumm, primarily a filmmaker and story teller, works for the University of Oklahoma and manages a team of small photographers. His YouTube channel, Making Things With Cameras, has 25,000 subscribers, and features impressive stop-motion and other filming techniques.

He's the creator of the beautifully-intricate Legend of Zelda topographical map - something sure to unite both woodworkers and video game lovers.
