MILAN, Italy -- Bacci won first prize for innovation at the Xylexpo 2018 XIA Awards in the "first processing and transformation of the solid wood" category. The winning machine, MASTER MAX, is a 56-axis machining center for solid wood. The MASTER MAX can process curved and straight elements in batch one without the need of any templates thanks to the adjustable and motorized clamps in all directions. The two 5-axis heads allow simultaneous working and tool changing in masked time. The anthropomorphic robot placed at the back of the machine allows the unattended shift to take place.

According to Bacci, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, MASTER MAX is the expression of flexibility and productivity that the industry requires.
