Jet says its two new, re-engineered 15-inch planers, the Helical Head Planer (JWP-15BHH) and the Straight Knife Planer (JWP-15B), efficiently and quietly transform rough lumber into accurately dimensioned work pieces. Both planers include the company’s innovative Precision Air Strut System (PASSTM), which provides consistent, upward pressure on the cutterhead to reduce the chance of board snipe. With cutterhead speeds of 5,200 RPM, the cutterhead of the JWP-15BHH is equipped with 48, four-sided, carbide-tipped blade inserts and the JWP-15B cutterhead has three, high-speed blades for clean, efficient cutting.

With over a dozen options to choose from, Grizzly says it offers shapers for every shop size. The company says the shapers offer a number of safety features, and smooth, continuous operation for all production work.

Available from Maggi USA, the Steff Supersonic 4 electronic variable speed power feeder features a patented Variopower system and Smart electronic controller. It also features four “feeder grip” 758 rubber rollers, variable speeds up to 82 FPM, a quick forward/reverse selection, and a 1HP motor. Also available in a three roller configuration, the feeder comes complete with a universal support column.

Castaly says its 19-inch, single-bit auto dovetail machine is user friendly and built to withstand the test of time. Built with a heavy steel frame and a cast iron table, the CM-A19 features four large air clamps that allow for both male and female dovetails to be machined at the same time. Its router head travels via a precision ground guide rod made from medium carbon steel and coated with hard chrome.

Grizzly's benchtop bandsaw features a built-in laser for guided cuts and a dust blower for keeping sawdust off of layout lines. It also features a 1/3HP, 120V, single-phase ODP induction motor; a rack-and-pinion table tilt from zero to 45 degrees; an extruded aluminum fence with camlock handle, quick-release blade tension and ball-bearing blade guides; and an LED work light. Additionally, it accepts 62-inch-long blades and is capable of 3 5/8 inches of maximum cutting height.

Available from Timesavers, the YieldSaver is equipped with top and bottom carbide insert cutterheads which automatically center each board between the top and bottom opposed cutterheads, allowing equal amounts of stock to be removed from both sides of the lumber. Timesavers says users can expect yields of 3%-plus, and a 12-month payback.

Woodcraft has added the WoodRiver Deluxe dovetail jig to its WoodRiver line of router accessories. The company says the jig makes it a simple process to align the dovetail pins for center, align the tails to the pins, and then rout both sides of the half-blind dovetail joint at the same time for a precise match. It features a lever adjustment for the template height, a tall routing height that reduces the need for stooping, and onboard storage for accessories. Also, knobs are used for switching templates instead of permanent fasteners.

Grizzly's eight-by-76-inch parallelogram jointers are available in the G0857 (pictured) and G0858 models. The company says the models' extra-long beds handle longer material with greater accuracy due to four pivot points moving each table. They feature a 3HP, 230V, 12A, single-phase motor; a rabbeting table for up to half-inch-deep deep rabbets; a four-knife cutterhead (G0857); a spiral cutterhead (G0858); pedestal-mounted controls with magnetic switch and large shut-off paddle; and a built-in mobile base.
