Stiles Machinery describes the Homag MouldTeq moulders as state-of-the-art technology meets solid mechanical engineering. The company says the moulders offer flexibility with variable feed and spindle speeds, all managed via a touch-screen powerTouch controller. The moulders also feature quick set-up with the proLock spindle system and powerful operation with additional optional features.

Shaper Tools, maker of the portable CNC Shaper Origin, offers the Shaper Workstation all-in-one workspace and fixturing solution for benchtop cutting operations. The company says the Workstation is designed to streamline and expand the Origin’s abilities, offering rapid, repeatable and precise fixturing of a wide range of stock configurations. Shaper Workstation also features a reusable tape field, easily adjustable shelf for small workpieces, and intuitive indexing pins for alignment and registration. This greatly reduces setup time and makes it easier than ever to get cutting straight out of the box, the company adds.

The Betterley Universal Alignment and Adjustment Gauge is designed to adjust and align almost any woodworking tool or machine, substantially reducing equipment set-up time and eliminating errors, the company says. The modular design enables endless functions including setting cutter height, blade or fence alignment, and checking arbor or spindle run-out - whether working with stationary equipment or handheld tools.

AXYZ says its Infinite CNC router is one of the most tailorable machines in the industry. The easy spindle lock on Laguna's compact 4-speed shaper makes tool changes a snap, the company says. Another feature is the fast speed change with a simple pull of a handle. The machine also has a precision fence, 3-hp motor, 32"x26.6% table size and a flat poly-groove belt which transfers more power with less vibration, Laguna adds.

Grizzly offers two routers with CNC capabilities, the 3-hp G0894 with a 23"x35" cutting area, and the 6-hp G0895, which can handle a full 4'x8' sheet, and features a 6-zone vacuum table to secure the workpieces. The G0894 has a maximum spindle-to-table height of 5" and the G0895 has a maximum of 7". Both models come with four hold-down clamps, 1/4" and 1/2" collets, and feature a hand-held digital display with keypad controls and USB port.

Shaper Tools says users of the Shaper Origin need no proprietary software or G-code programming ability to use its Handheld CNC . Users upload an image to the tool and Origin will design the user’s toolpath. Users guide the router by hand along the toolpath while Origin makes needed corrections for a precise cut, says the company. If a user drifts too far the spindle automatically retracts to preserve the cut, adds the company, and it allows users to work on-site and on workpieces that don’t fit traditional CNC beds.

The Rockler Router Bit Center Depth Gauge allows users to quickly set their router table fence a precise distance from the center of the bit, says the company. It also works as a depth gauge for bits and blades and for routing dados and flutes. Half-round notches register a user’s measurements to the center of ¼” and ½” shank bits. It allows users to measure the bit height through the hairline indicator for the desired depth of cut, adds the company. The 12” steel ruler features metric and imperial measurements.

The Ligno-VersaTec from Lignomat is a one-in-all measuring kit for wood moisture and relative humidity. It includes a moisture meter, which can be operated as a pin meter, a pinless meter and as a Thermo-Hygrometer. The meter has individual settings in pin and pinless mode for soft and hardwoods, OSB and engineered and composite products, says the company. For core measurements in pin mode the Slide-hammer electrode E12 is included. For hard materials the Electrode E14 is included. The pinless mode has a dual-depth feature for materials thinner than ¾” thick boards.

Thermwood’s Cut Ready Series features an artificial intelligence engine called Artie inside the Cut Ready control. Users tell Artie what they want and the AI engine creates a program to make it. Artie is capable of programming tens of millions of unique products, says the company, and is easy enough to use that it can be used with little or no training. These are not pre-programmed libraries, said Thermwood. The Cut Ready AI feature is currently available on the Cut Ready 43 and the Cut Center.
