Lignomat USA’s BL2-MC Tracker data logger simultaneously records relative humidity and wood moisture, says the company. It can record 32000 data sets in time intervals from 30 sec to 24 hours with a time stamp, adds the company, and the data logger shows how changing relative humidity can affect wood moisture. Applications include keeping track of furniture and cabinets during manufacturing, storage, transportation, acclimation, installation and long-term monitoring and also for material testing in labs and monitoring wood floors.

Grizzly Industrial introduces the Grizzly Model G0901 28” Portable Sawmill, designed to mill logs up to 28” in diameter by 22” wide, with a maximum cut thickness of 6”. It is powered by a 13 ½ HP Briggs and Stratton gas engine. It features a modular track system for varying length requirements, leveling feet for stabilizing the sawmill on uneven ground and adjustable work stops and clamp for securing logs during cuts. It has a locking hand crank with detents for quickly setting cut thickness in 1/8” increments, says the company.

Hoffmann’s Beaded Face Frame Combo System combines a RazorGage Stop System with a chop-saw and a MORSO notching machine. The system is available in different lengths to accommodate face-frame components up to 12 ft long. Hoffmann says the software with the Combo System enables an operator to lay out an average kitchen with 40 openings, cut all stiles and rails and notch all joints in less than half a day. Hoffmann also offers positioning systems with or without chop-saws for customers who already have a MORSO notching machine in operation.

Features include an all servo motor driving system where axis are driven by brush-less type, high torque AC servo motors. The Syntec CNC controller is set up to accept standard G-code programming formats along with onboard conversational applications. The optional CAD/CAM system can create and edit part programs and then send them to the machine for cutting. The machine is designed and ready for 3-D cutting usage.
