RPM International Inc. announced today that its Rust-Oleum Group has acquired HiChem Paint Technologies Pty. Ltd., a leading Australian manufacturer of automotive aftermarket coatings, as well as specialty coatings for industrial applications and home maintenance.

RPM International Inc. reported sharply improved net sales for its fiscal 2012 second quarter ended Nov. 30, 2011. Net income increased slightly and earnings per diluted share were flat, due to higher raw material and acquisition-related expenses.
