Uneeda's rhomboidal coated sanding material reduces heat from friction

Uneeda, a manufacturer of coated abrasives and sanding technology, has introduced what it calls AKF material with Rombex technology - a unique rhomboidal coated pattern that provides increased dust extraction and a longer lifespan. It also vastly reduces the heat caused by friction by dispersing the heat more evenly. Reduced friction and improved dust extraction lead to longer machining time and fewer line stops to replace worn materials.

The material and technology won a Visionary Award at the 2017 AWFS Fair in Las Vegas, held July 19-22. The AWFS Visionary New Product Awards recognize creativity, innovation, production impact, as well as the practicality of new industry products.
