Northtech Machine says its new L5 no-lock air lock fence uses an automatic touch locking system to replace traditional fences that require operator to unlock, turn wheel, and re-lock. When the user's hand touches the touches the top face of the fence, the L5 automatically releases the lock, then automatically re-locks once the operator removes their hand. The fence is available in both an electric and a fully pneumatic option and can be paired with a guarded digital readout. In addition, the L5 fence is able to be put on any of the Northtech split chain straight-line ripsaws as well as most competitor models according to the company.
