Optimizing Saw with Push-Feed

OMGA introduces the Model T 523 OPT Optimizing Saw, featuring a Push-Feed Optimizer for defecting and full optimization of wood. It features a pneumatic tail clamp system for accurate positioning of boards between each cut, says OMGA. Two horizontal clamps self-adjust based on the cross section of the work piece to square boards against the fence before each cut. A fluorescent crayon is used for marking defects. Defect marks and length of the board  are read automatically, adds OMGA, during the return stroke of the pusher. The NC controller on the 10.4” touch screen display allows for data entry and offers an intuitive means to access all the optimization programs, says the company. A USB port is available, as is an Ethernet RJ45 port, for connection to company networks.
