Jet introduces an upgraded 1020 Benchtop Drum Sander, designed to replace the Jet 10-20 Plus Drum Sander, says the company. The 1020 BT Drum Sander features an open-ended arm design, pull-through conveyor and a patented dust hood, adds the company. The redesigned hood has an integrated channel that directs dust and debris to a 4” diameter dust port on the top of its hinged hood, which removes up to 97% of all dust when used with a Jet Cyclone Dust Collector, according to the company. The benchtop sander weighs 73 lbs. and has a footprint of 27” by 18”. It can sand work pieces up to 10” wide in a single pass and up to 20” wide making two passes. The machine sands material from 1/32 to 3” thick.
