Flamex says its new YMX 5000 Detector series represents a unique and technologically advanced generation of infrared spark and flame sensors for industrial applications. With stainless steel housing and a field removable lens, it features industry-exclusive self-monitoring optics to provide “through the lens” testing for each detector in real time to immediately alert the user of damage or lens contamination. It also features a control unit, which offers a retrievable lifetime memory function, external LED indicators for each detector, and connection to up to three remote sensors for minimized wiring. It is suitable for installation in a wide range of operational temperatures from -40 Degrees F up to 221 Degrees F, and the increased viewing angle of the detector enhances the detection capability, which could reduce the number of detectors required according to the company.
